Do I need to take my clothes off?
For most types of massage therapy, the answer is usually yes. With Shiatsu and Thai massage being the
exception to the rule. Since no two therapists are alike, it is best to ask during the consultation what is preferred.
You will be draped appropriately with the sheet, so the only part uncovered is the part massaged.
Will the massage hurt?
The old age 'no pain no gain' is not relevant to massage therapy treatments you receive. You should feel better
at the end of each treatment. You should not feel soreness after a session, however if it has been a long time
since your last massage, your body may feel more sensitive the next day.
What is the best frequency of treatment?
This will vary, if you are seeking massage for help from a recent injury, it is recommended that the first two or
three treatments be spaced every three to four days or weekly depending on the severity of pain or dysfunction.
For longterm, a monthly treatment is recommend. For therapeutic most people find that once a month suites
their needs, but ultimately it is up to you.
